Here's what been going on in the art room at the Elementary school: PK-2nd grade created mini-artist selfie portrait magnets with a painting on an easel. 3rd/4th grade are in the process of a choice 3D sculpture building project using found objects in the art room. 5th/6th grade are working on a colored pencil drawing. They picked out 6 random words from a bin and had to plan out an illustration using those words. Photos to come later on their final pieces. Amazing, creative work happening in the art room lately!

Congratulations to Lauryn Dwight for being voted the Artist of the Month! She did a watercolor painting of an original character. She joined the other students from the 8 other schools in the Art Student Association for a lunch and to meet with a local artist. The local artists this time were Clare Tomasoski and Bonnie Jewell. They showed the students how to needle felt. The process is so much fun to watch. Congratulations to Lauryn and all the artists this month!

We have been in close contact with the towns and emergency services in the county throughout the day today and because there are still a number of families, community members and staff without power, we have made the decision to close school again tomorrow, Thursday, April 3rd. At this time, we are planning to hold a normal day of school Friday, April 4th. Please remember that the Goodman Town Hall is open and is providing a place to warm up along with free food for those in need. Stay safe and warm.

The Auto Class worked very diligently on the body work for this car. All the work was done by a hard working group of students. They planned out the assembly process and worked together to complete the task. The final result looked great, being done by a group mostly comprised of Sophomores.
