One of the Fab Lab students engraved a memorial plack for their grandfather who served during WW2. I told him that he had just made a great family heirloom. Great idea and finished project, and thank you George Wulf for your service.

The Fab Lab students were assigned a project of making a product that, if sold in a store would have to be worth at least $25.00. They were judged by the school staff and given feedback. They had to keep in mind their consumer and have a good enough finish quality. Great Job!

Congratulations to Tyler M and Gabe W for receiving a bronze medal at the state forensic's competition! They had an amazing season and worked hard to make it to state.

Reminder: Elementary Early Dismissal on Monday, May 3, 2021 This communication serves as a reminder that elementary students only will be dismissed at 12:15 PM on Monday, May 3rd. There will be no Day Camp offerings that afternoon due to the nature of that activity and current health and safety protocols. Elementary staff members will be involved in specialized training that afternoon. Please note that the school day for middle and high schools students remains as typically scheduled. Students riding the bus will be transported home as usual at the end of their regularly scheduled school day. It is hoped that this reminder will help in your planning for your child(ren) on the afternoon of Monday, May 3rd for elementary students.

School Resumes on Monday, April 5, 2021 We look forward to a return to learning activities following the scheduled spring break. Thank you for your continued and on-going support to assist in keeping our schools safe during these challenging times. Your understanding of our face covering requirement and social distancing practices are critical in our local efforts to fend off the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to implement safety and cleaning practices and protocols for our students to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. Please continue a daily school day student screening protocol checking for any signs or symptoms of illness. Call 715-336-2575 to report a student absence and indicate what symptoms your child has which prevents them from attending school. Please also indicate whether your child has tested positive for COVID-19, has been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or if your child has any of the following symptoms: Cough, Diarrhea, Difficulty breathing, Fever, Headache, Muscle pain, Nausea/vomiting, New loss of taste or smell, and/or Sore throat. Together we can work to keep our schools open for the remaining two months of the current school year. Your assistance continues to remain critical to do so.

Letter to Parents/Guardians/Caregivers – COVID-19 Case(s) in the School March 29, 2021 This letter is to notify you that [a] student[s] and/or staff member[s] at Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District has tested positive for COVID-19. The confirmed case involves a student at GAC High/Middle School. We are actively working with the local County Health Department to quickly identify, notify, and quarantine any students or staff who may have come into close contact with them and who may be at risk of getting sick. We are also cleaning and disinfecting the school to control the spread of illness. For now, school will be scheduled to remain open until further notice. Please take the steps necessary to monitor and manage any COVID-related signs and symptoms displayed by your child(ren). Keep them home if symptoms as described below are present, and contact the local county health department and/or your medical provider for further guidance. About COVID-19: COVID-19 is an illness caused by a new coronavirus. It spreads from person to person through droplets created when we cough, sneeze, talk, sing or laugh. Most people, especially young people, who get COVID- 19, have mild illness, similar to having a cold or the flu. However, in others it can cause severe illness, such as pneumonia. If you know your child has an underlying health condition, you may wish to discuss the option of switching to online instruction with your healthcare provider. After much work we finally have our cnc plasma cutter up and running. A huge thank you again to the Alumni Association for the donation to purchase it and thank you again to Tom and Jake from Armstrong Creek Electric for supplying our power needs. Our students our so grateful.

Middle school students are learning about the ring of fire, the earthquakes and volcanoes that are located there, and how plate tectonics are tied in!

The Autos class had an opportunity to install a new hitch on Ms. Paulson's car yesterday. This was a great project because the students were installing on a newer vehicle which included more prior planning and finishing to give it a more professional look. Great job!

Here are some of the projects the 8th grade woods class has finished this week, wood cups made on the lathe and wood chess boards. Their skills and techniques are improving every day, great job.
