These turned out so amazing! The 1st/2nd grade class learned what a horizon line is in art class. They colored trees in patterns with crayons. The crayon wax acted as a resist for the watercolor foreground and background.

The Kindergarten class learned to paint with texture using forks, corks, paper tubes, and tooth brushes. They had read the story, The Mixed-up Chameleon. The students also learned to paint with watercolors to create a mixed media piece of art.

Here is another batch of student designed 3D printed phone holders. It's always great to see the ideas the student come up with. As always great job!

The art department would like to extend a huge thank you to Mr. Stephen Wysocki for his generous donation that helped supplement our field trip to Door County. Mr. Wysocki was also a guest artist and performed an oil painting demo as he discussed his art career to our students.

The Kindergarten class was reading, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Our art project coordinated with the story to emphasize texture that was painted with a fork. The cut outs helped with spatial awareness and working with layers.

GAC will be hosting a Veterans Day assembly on Thursday, November 11 at 10:15 AM. The GAC School District would like to thank all of the veterans for their service.

The seventh grade art class composed paper collage animal portraits. They learned to use patterns to define an area.

The Fab Lab students had a project of designing their own 3D printed phone holder. This gave the students the opportunity to visualize the finished project while working with the dimensions of their phone. Great design ideas and great work!

The 5th graders created decimal animals using base ten blocks to practice adding decimals today!

The first and second grade art class was inspired by the artist, Piet Mondrian, while creating their primary color, spider webs.

The kindergarten class crafted spooky ghost windows.

The 1st/2nd grade class created Wacky Witch Legs. They painted the watercolor wash for the background. Then cutout the witch parts from paper and a foam sheet. Lastly, the class stamped orange polka dots on the skirt using a pencil eraser.

Our 4K/5K class created Halloween owls that reinforced colors and shapes. They also received more experience with scissors and glue and how to follow a straight line while applying the triangles. Great job, kindergartners!

Salt dough ornaments for Fall. Thank you Mrs. Ingram for letting us borrow your cookie cutters. Hopefully the ornaments make there way home safely tomorrow.

Tom Resch and Lynne Babich, along with their sidekicks Little Hooligan and Rascal, donated a rock tumbler to the Science Department. Mr. Slawinski, who is also a geologist, appreciates their generosity and looks forward to using it with his students. Thank you Tom and Lynn for always thinking of us!!!

The Construction class is almost done repairing and reroofing the pickleball shelter. One student also designed a paddle hanger, next it's on to paint. The art students are set to paint a mural before it gets taken back to the pickleball court. Great team effort!

The 5th and 6th graders created a pumpkin scene watercolor resist using glue. Yellow watercolor paint was used as highlights and red paint as shadows to show dimension inside the pumpkins. Great job, class!

Monday is Picture Day!!!

Homecoming Events today!!!! Breakfast at the Goodman Town Hall before the parade. 9:30AM - GAC middle/high students arrive for band and parade line up at the high school 9:50- GAC elementary students can meet at the elementary parking lot for parade 10:00 - Parade begins followed by Candy at the firehouse. 12:30- Pep band arrives at football field 12:50ish- Football players/Parents are announced 1:00 Kick off Predators vs. Oconto Falls Concessions are being ran by the family of George Buck, the Junior and Senior classes along with alumni and community members. 7:00PM - 11:00PM GAC Middle/High Homecoming Dance

Does anyone have any leaf cookie cutters, or a fancy circle cookie cutter that we could use next week to make salt dough ornaments in the elementary? I would return it at the end of the week. Thank you!
