A big thank you to Steve Gostisha for letting the Forestry class tour his sugar shack today. He showed the process of tapping trees, collecting the sap and how it is cooked down and bottled. It was a great example of how local people are carrying on traditions and making a buisiness from something they are passionate about. The students are making maple syrup in class so it's a good example of how they can scale up the process in the future.
