Thank you to Jim and Jean Bauer for coming in and speaking to the 3rd and 4th grade class about the Pueblo Indians! They even received Junior Ranger badges! The 3rd and 4th graders are currently learning about Native Americans and writing a biography in writing class. This was a great addition to our learning!

GAC is having a half-day on Friday! (11/17/23) Elementary will be dismissed at 12:05 PM. Middle/High School will be dismissed at 12:15 PM. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe break!

The Seniors are having their Fruit & Meat/Cheese/Nut fundraising sale! The sale runs from November 10th through November 30th, 2023. Please leave your name and phone number with Annette Braaten at 175-336-2575 ext 201. She will have one of our seniors connect with you.

Congratulations to Kyle Braaten, Erin Goode, Joshua Knutson, Krystal Moddie, and Hailey Moore in the high achievement for being inducted into the Goodman - Armstrong Creek School District's chapter of the National Honor Society. They join Katelyn Kalkofen and Jasmine Slawinski in representing our proud school. We are extremely proud and honored to have these members in our chapter.

The National Honor Society is putting together a Food Drive for this week! Please bring any of your canned goods and non-perishable items by Friday this week. Any donated items can be brought to Mr. Slawinski's room at the high school.

We love learning in the fall!

Last Spring Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District applied for the Delta Dental Cool Water Grant program. The Elementary was chosen to receive a Water Bottle Filling Station along with water bottles and toothbrushes. We are patiently waiting for the instillation of the unit which will help fill the student’s water bottles quicker and avoid the difficulty filling bottles from the bubbler. Delta Dental writes that “drinking water during the school day is a healthy alternative to sugary beverages like soda, juice, and sports drinks. Not only does drinking water keep our teeth strong and healthy, it also combats obesity and increases energy levels”. The kids were super excited receiving their bottles. Thank you Delta Dental!

The Veteran's Day Program is going to be on Friday, November 10, 2023! Come and join us at 10:15 a.m. at the Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School. The PTO is sponsoring the lunch to follow at the Elementary Gym. Please call the high school office by Monday, November 6th, 2023 to reserve a spot for lunch preparation. Hope to see you there!

The Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District would like to say “Thank You” to everyone that has helped make it possible to have two traveling AEDs for our students and staff. With the help of our businesses and organizations that either did independent fundraising or made generous donations, they have made it possible to purchase two AEDs and supplies. Any remaining funds will be kept for future purchases of items such as expired pads and batteries. What an awesome community! We are very happy to welcome Matt Tieze to the GAC staff. We appreciate all the work he does every day.

Today some of the tech ed students were able to take a tour of Cruisers Yachts in Pulaski. One of the engineers showed us the building process from start to finish. They also show us what jobs are available in their company. A truly great Wisconsin based company making amazing ships sold all over the world.

The College of Business at NWTC is holding a free event for all College and K-12 students, their parents, and the community as a whole. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Get registered by November 6th! We are so happy to welcome Mr. Rybarczyk to the GAC staff. He is teaching 7th-12th Social Studies.

We are so happy to have Mrs. StrochKirch join the GAC staff this year teaching 2nd/3rd grade!

Our middle & high school students had the pleasure of meeting Srey Pov last week during our busy Homecoming week. She was introduced by Claude Rochon. Srey Pov (meaning Little Sister) is from Cambodia and she is an International Smot Singer. She has a movie made about her as well. She sang a few smot songs and told us about the importance of each. It was an incredible experience for all to learn about a new culture and tradition.
