Extension of School Meals to June 30, 2021

January 6, 2021

Dear GAC Students, Families and Caregivers,

Knowing that students learn best when they are prepared to do so, the Goodman-Armstrong Creek School District has recently submitted a waiver application to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction which will permit the district to offer free breakfast and lunch meals to all students enrolled in the district.  Meals will be provided at no cost to all students in the district who are 18 years of age and younger as well as pre-school aged siblings not currently attending school.  Additionally, the waiver includes any students currently enrolled and participating in person or virtually in district offered programs.

Our waiver will cover the costs of meals through June 30, 2021 or until funding for the reimbursement of such costs ends.  Notification will be made should the extension of free breakfast and lunch meal offerings end sooner than the end of the calendar year.  In the event the district needs to be closed for health-related reasons plans will be made to provide meals accordingly.

Families who are choosing to participate in virtual learning this year may make arrangements to pick up prepared meals by contacting Mrs. Susie Kuklinski at 715-336-2575, ext. 304 or  Questions regarding the waiver may be directed to Mrs. Kuklinski.
