New School Year Information
Steven m. Bloom
Tuesday, August 25, 2020

The beginning of the 2020 - 2021 school year will soon be upon us.  It is our intent at this time to open the school year in person on Tuesday, September 1st.  School will be held through Friday the 5th.  As a reminder there is no school scheduled on Monday, September 7th due to Labor Day.  We will resume again on Tuesday the 8th.

Due to existing health-related concerns and to successfully reopen our schools there will be no Open House or Return to School event held this year prior to September 1st.  Students should plan on bringing their school supplies to school on the scheduled first day.  In both buildings teachers will work with students at the beginning of the first school day to locate their classrooms, desks, and lockers as applicable.  Parents will not be permitted into our schools to assist in this process.  We appreciate your understanding.

The school day at the elementary school will begin at 8:15 AM.  Students who walk or are dropped off at school should arrive no earlier than 8:00 AM.  At that time, students will go to the playground.  After morning recess, those who choose to eat breakfast will take a “grab and go” meal and report to their classroom.   In the event of inclement weather students will report directly to their classrooms.  The school day will end at 3:10 PM.

At the middle/high school the school day will begin with student arrival at 7:50 AM.  Students may pick up a “grab and go” breakfast and will report to their scheduled first hour class.  No student should arrive at school prior to 7:50 AM unless a prior arrangement has been made to meet with a staff member in advance.  The school day will end at 3:15 PM.

Our staff members are very much looking forward to welcoming our students back to school.  We ask for your cooperation and continued understanding as we all are doing our very best to do what is necessary to get students back to school.

I invite any questions to be directed to me at your convenience.

Respectfully,

Steven M. Bloom
