Jamie Slawinski 7-12 English/Language Arts

Hello! My name is Jamie Slawinski and I am greatly looking forward to this upcoming year as the new English Language Arts teacher for grades seven through twelve at Goodman Armstrong Creek School.  This is my first year teaching after graduating with highest honors from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. I am excited to put the excellent education I received there to good work!

I grew up in Porterfield, which is a little town just North of Marinette, Wisconsin.  I am the oldest of four children to two loving parents and we are fortunate to remain close.  I currently live just three miles from the home I grew up in on the beautiful Menominee River.  Before returning to college to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher, I focused on family and worked at our local library.  I am married to a wonderfully supportive husband, Jason, with whom I have two amazing, teenage children; my son’s name is Isaac and my daughter’s name is Jasmine.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. Whether it is settling in for a movie night or taking a drive through the country, we value our time spent together. Family road trips are a fun way to experience new things & create new memories. Game nights inspire laughter and a healthy sense of competition. Also, supporting my children in their interests provides me with lots of entertainment. When I am alone, my favorite past-time is curling up in a warm blanket with a cup of tea and a good book.
